Loyiso Macdonald is a South African actor, presenter, and singer who was born on July 16, 1980, making him 37 years old. He is best known for his role as Simon in the popular South African soap opera Isibaya. Macdonald has also appeared in a number of other television shows and movies including the sitcoms Ses’ Top La and Going Up, the latter of which he also wrote and directed. In addition to his work in television and film, Macdonald is also a successful musician, having released two albums, the self-titled Loyiso Macdonald in 2006 and Africa in my Blood in 2010.

He is the co-founder of the Isibonelo Society, a theatre company that produces work by and for South Africans. Macdonald has won several awards for his work, including the Fleur du Cap Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and the Naledi Award for Best Director.
